Pennsylvania's Lancaster County has a large Amish Community. These gentle people closely follow the traditions of their faith and largely allow the rush and bustle of modern day living to pass them by. Many of them are farmers - diligently working the land they love. The Amish dress "plain", and are easily recognizable by their style of clothing and their use of horses and buggies.

The Amish do not like to be photographed - it is contrary to their religious beliefs and humble lifestyle - so we have tried to respect their privacy as much as possible.
