         Qualifying High-deductible Health Plan |

An insurance plan with a high deductible. This terminology is associated with Medical Savings Accounts. Deductibles can range from $1,500 to $2,200 per person or $3,000 to $4,500 for families with established out-of-pocket maximums. Premiums are about 50 percent of the cost of traditional indemnity coverage which, in theory, enables participants to fund their MSAs with the premium savings. |
