Labeler Identifier |
The labeler of a drug usually is its manufacturer, but a distributor may also appear as a labeler in the drug's NDC. This identifier is independent of the NDC and facilitates grouping NDC's by distributor. This ID consists of two components:

The amount of time a patient stays in a hospital or other type of inpatient facility. Also, the number of days by DRG categories for a provider. |

LIFO |
Level of brain function, cognizance. For example, a question appropriately asked about brain injury patients. (Of course, the Cognitive Function Meter would run low in many other circumstances :-) |

Last in, first out method of inventory evaluation. The assumption is that the most recently received (last in) is the first to be used (first out). |
